Piano - Gift for Life

Playing the piano supports a child's intellectual development, increasing their concentration levels.

Children who play the piano learn more efficiently and exhibit better social competencies, integrating themselves easier into social structures.

Adults who play the piano are also improving their overall efficiency and concentration levels. Adults are also shown to react more appropriately and competently in stressful situations.

Piano playing helps older people improve their intellectual and mental fitness. These effects are based on scientific research and can be observed whenever you meet a piano player.

The positive effects of piano playing as a fountain of youth have been related in numerous scientific studies.

Clarkson Piano Studio: Promoting Excellence in Piano and in Life!

There seems to be a connection between smart people and their music-making -

From ancient times and geniuses of Plato, Pythagoras;

Leonardo DaVinci; masters like - Tchaikovsky (mathematician) and Borodin (Chemist) to Wernher von Braun "The Father of Modern Rocket Science" who was a cellist and pianist;

Fletcher Henderson – Jazz legend /physics/math professor;

John Lynch - a NASA Scientist and performing musician, to name a few.

Our kids may not be concert pianists, but they may become fantastic writers, teachers, doctors, lawyers, entrepreneurs, and engineers…because they have been provided with the immeasurable opportunity of musical training that boosts their thinking and helps develop multiple life skills. Piano lessons: Empowering Gift for Life!

And then the giants of Albert Einstein (piano, violin), Werner von Braum, “the father of rocket science” (piano, cello) or India’s top nuclear scientist and pianist, the late Dr. Raja Ramanna who all shared the common “blend” of musical training and superb achievement. Medical professionals and researchers are often serious musicians – just like Dr. Gordon Shaw (UCI) or Canada’s Dr. Robert Zattore, World renowned neuroscientist/pianist. Many prominent public figures are seriously into music, too – Pope Benedict, Allan Greenspan, and Condoleezza Rice, to name a few.

ALBERT EINSTEIN:

Music undoubtedly served as the principal source of inspiration and his intuitive thinking.

Albert Einstein stated in no uncertain terms that the Theory of Relativity was a "musical thought" that came to him intuitively.

Music served Albert Einstein in all aspects of his life.

Maja Einstein, Albert Einstein's sister:

"After playing piano, he would get up saying 'There, now I've got it', Something in the music would guide his thoughts in new and creative directions." (Jamie Sayen, 1985." Einstein in America", p26).

Hans Einstein, Albert Einstein's son:

"Whenever he felt that he had come to the end of the road or into a difficult situation in his work, he would take refuge in music, and that would usually resolve all his difficulties" (Ronald W. Clark, 1971. "Einstein. The Life and Times". p106).

Another professional, in this case, NASA engineer, musically trained with a Degree in Piano Performance and passionate about music to this day...

"Debbie always wanted to play the piano. It was the love of her life. While other kids were playing outside, she was inside practicing. It was the same in music college and playing with the band. She missed countless parties, holidays...."
